GE Multilin 859 Motor Protection Relay
The Multilin 859 Motor Protection System, a member of the Multilin 8 Series protective relay platform, is designed for the protection, control, and management of medium and large power rating induction motors. It has also been purpose-built as a direct replacement for GE’s existing range of Multilin motor protection relays, including the 169, 269, 269Plus, and 369 devices.

Firmware Revisions & Software Reflashing
If our in-stock relay nomenclature does not exactly match the part number you require, we may be able to reflash the relay firmware to the appropriate software revision or catalog number.
Please note that firmware reflashing cannot change the relay’s hardware configuration or installed hardware options. Compatibility must be verified before any reflashing is performed.
In some cases, GE Vernova may be able to issue a replacement nameplate reflecting the updated relay nomenclature. Nameplate replacement is subject to GE Vernova approval and is handled on a case-by-case basis.
Additional charges may apply for firmware reflashing, engineering verification, replacement documentation, and replacement nameplates, where applicable.
